LivingSocial Merchant Center
LivingSocial Merchant Center helps the owners of small businesses – local restaurants, salons, vineyards, inns, yoga studios – to run promotions, attract new customers, and stay connected with the new and old customers.
I was the Principal Interaction Designer at LivingSocial and I had the privilege to work with a very talented and fun team of designers, copywriters, user researchers, developers and product managers. I contributed to the interaction and visual design of several products as part of the LivingSocial Merchant Center, including:
Dashboard. It shows a snapshot of the promotion performance, displaying key data like the total number of vouchers redeemed, past and upcoming payment amount and date, and overall customer rating.
Manage offers. Merchants manage multiple promotions, including turning the offer on and off, setting the date range of the offer, and configuring the cap of an offer.
View detailed performance of a promotion. Merchants access the detailed data and understand how the sales funnel goes (i.e. how many customers view the promotion, how many click on it, and how many buy it eventually. See the customer demographics and geo-locations to understand who they are and where they come from, in order to make better business decisions.
Engage customers. Merchants customize automatic email marketing campaigns to connect with customers. Remind them to redeem the voucher, or send special offers and thank you emails to turn the first-time visitors to returning customers.
Payments. Merchants track existing and upcoming payments, and view or download payment statements. Set up business information like Tax ID and direct deposit.
